Bar Bambino’s Christopher Losa.

With so many amazing eats in San Francisco it’s hard to know where to begin.

But let us make a small suggestion, Bar Bambino. Not only is it a short three blocks away from our shop, its amazing Italian food and unbelievable wine selection is hardly matched.

We have the great pleasure of knowing Christopher Losa, the owner of Bar Bambino.

Christopher is a great business man with a kind and hospitable personality that’s difficult to come by. Not to mention a sense of style that is truly his own. It’s no wonder we’re proud to have him in our shirts.

You will not be disappointed in your Bar Bambino experience so we encourage you to make your way over.

Swing back by tomorrow and check out more details on our new shirt release.

The New Soft Indigo Chambray

An easy addition to your shirting quiver, this chambray shirt is perfectly weighted and buttery soft to the touch.

You can wear it just about any way you want. It’s your yardwork shirt on the weekends and stands up just as well in the workplace.

The rich shade of indigo is deep and true. You inspect the shirt, turn it inside out.

The construction is truly authentic - everything’s done by hand using single needle tailoring.

Lastly, you try it on. It fits perfectly.
It’s sturdy and understated. Wear the hell out of it.

Sam E. Ferguson & The Indigo Chambray Jack.

There is nothing quite like spending time with someone who inspires creativity.

We love those types. Meet an embodiment of creativity, Sam E. Ferguson.

Sam is one of the founders and head contributors for LEAF, a collection of art and artists based in California. A trained architect, he also thrives in photography, installation art and design. So, whatever your medium, take notes from Mr. Ferguson.

We were so thankful for his generosity to open his rad home/basement/studio for us to photograph him in action.

For more of his genius, check out LEAF, and while you’re at it, swing over to the Mission on March first and take a look at his latest installation at NO.

Tomorrow we will be posting more photos of Sam donning our new Taylor Stitch creation… the indigo chambray shirt.

The Mechanic’s Shirt.

If you missed out on our Yosemite shirt, this is your chance - the chamois’ more rugger brother (it comes in black, navy and steel).

The brilliance of the Mechanic’s Shirt lies in the fabric - the outside is durable and tough and the other is a soft brushed cotton.

The result is the warmth and permanence of a lined jacket with a trimmer cut and less bulk. We finished it off with our spankin’ new metal utility button as well.

This shirt is here to pay respectful homage to all our motorhead buddies who continue to back up their beautiful ole Honda’s, BMW’s and Triumph’s in front of the shop every day.

We’d also like to re-introduce you to our friend, Mr. Graham French. A truly impressive guy with many talents, be them taking amazing photographs or mopeding 13,000 miles.

We spent Sunday afternoon with him as he worked on a few bikes at his garage and talked us through his most notable adventure.

What is it you ask? Well Graham rode from San Francisco, California all the way to Tierra del Fuego (13,000 miles) on a moped. He took a bunch of pictures and made a really great book too.

He was also nice enough to get on the other side of the camera and let us snap a few photos of him for the release of the Mechanic’s Shirt.

You can also learn more about Graham and his travels from our post yesterday.

Stay Warm & Toasty This Weekend.

Alright fellas, now that Valentine’s Day is over you can take a deep breath and stop thinking about roses and chocolate.

Go back to praying for some real snow in the mountains and drinking whiskey with your buds.

A cold streak finally came through San Francisco and it’s finally chilly enough for our new brushed cotton plaid pullover

Regardless of whether your weekend keeps you in the city, the mountains or the plains this shirt translates perfectly from outdoors to in.

We’d also like to introduce you guys to a new little detail we are mixing in.

It has been in development for a couple months we and are finally happy with our new genuine horn button. No fakers here.

We’d like to think it adds a bit to some of our darker shirts and in our humble opinion it is classy as all get out.

It has the same exact contours as our Corozo button; making it soft on the fingers and easy to slip through the button holes.

Tasty Spring Pinpoint Oxfords.

A true statesmen to the sport of surfing; we were honored to spend the morning with Michel Junod on Tuesday down south at his studio in Santa Cruz.

It is truly awesome to see someone who still holds a childlike desire to get in the water and excitement for his craft after 45 years of making beautiful surfboards.

These two shirts are testaments to the amazing color palettes Michel uses and his general design sensibility.

Michel was kind enough to let us photograph him in our most recent additions to our spring line, the canary pinpoint oxford and the turquoise pinpoint oxford.
It’s true, the colors are just as vibrant as Michel’s amazing personality.

We were toured through his workshop and taught what it takes to hand craft a surfboard.

Hopefully these shirts either inspire you to get out into the water in some regard or just get you itching for the summer days…

Limited Run Early Spring Plaids - Just For Japan.

…And we made a few for you, our faithful loyalists, as well.
Last week, we sent off some neatly packed parcels to our partner stores in Japan.

Inside the boxes, was a carefully curated collection of retro-inspired plaids we designed just for them.

We were not able to include everything they chose, but we were able to smuggle aside a few extras…

Get them here now.

Enjoy the color and keep the faith, spring will be here soon enough.

If your travels ever take you to Japan, keep your eyes peeled for TS.

Until then you can live vicariously right here.

The Perfect Pinpoint Oxfords.

This is not an encore, but an introduction of the grey pinpoint oxford as a staple of your Taylor Stitch shirting collection. The shirt is a best seller, both in our custom shirting library as well as our online shop. We receive inquiries about its availability almost daily. As a nice departure from blue, it has a place in every guy’s closest.

The lavender pinpoint is a more limited release. One that we in the shop are particularly excited about. The shade of lavender is just right and the pinpoint oxford fabric is a touch softer and more refined than our classic burly oxford.

Together, the basics just don’t get any better.

Spankin’ New California Tattersalls.

Hiking in the Marin Headlands, when the fog banks loom thick as a cascading stout, you would swear you were touring the Moors of England (minus that beautiful bridge we have). The hills are thickened with brush, the shoreline is rocky and the salt air rings true through your nostrils. These shirts have a distinct British tilt to them with subtle hints of California.

Forest Green Tattersall

Our climates are nearly identical but our styles are distinctly different. From a foggy vision our tattersall check shirts appear classically English.

Upon a closer, Sherlock Holmesian (yep, we just made up Holmesian. He’s just as cool as Freud in our book) inspection, a softer and more contemporary collar is revealed. Paired up with a modern tailored fit and shirt tails at the perfect length you have yourself a distinctly Californian shirt with just the right amount of British sophistication.

White Tattersall California
